Instructs Nirmal district Collector to help the girl in all aspects
HYDERABAD, AUGUST 19, 2024: Moved over the plight of an orphan girl, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy came out to extend all support to Durga, who was orphaned after her mother died by suicide.
M Gangamani (36) of Beltaroda village of Tanur Mandal in Nirmal district committed suicide on Saturday night and her 11-year-old daughter Durga was left alone. Durga was forced to beg to perform the last rites of her mother.
The Chief Minister responded immediately soon after the issue came to his notice and ordered District Collector Abhilash Abhinav to take care of the girl’s educational, medical and other needs.
As per the CM’s order, Durga will be admitted to Gurukul school and provide free education, the Collector said that medical treatment and other facilities will be provided, if necessary, to the girl.
