CM Revanth Reddy assures timely payment of fee reimbursement from this academic year onwards

Minister for IT and Industries D Sridhar Babu entrusted the responsibility of addressing the fee reimbursement issue

HYDERABAD, JULY 13, 2024: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said that the government was taking all measures for the timely payment of fee reimbursement from this academic year onwards.

“There is no need to worry about the release of fee reimbursement funds.  My government adopted a three pronged strategy in the implementation of fee reimbursement”, he pointed out.

Speaking at a programme organised to explain the government policies in promoting technical in the Telangana state at JNTU Hyderabad on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that former Chief Minister of the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh YS Rajashekhara Reddy had introduced fee reimbursement programme aiming to provide free education to the poor children.

The arrears of fee reimbursement accumulated due to the change of priorities under various circumstances.  IT and Industry minister D Sridhar Babu is entrusted with the responsibility of addressing the issue of clearance of fee reimbursement, he stated. All the great structures in the country and in the world are the creation of the engineers. Engineers invented all man-made wonders, he remarked.

Stating that the engineering colleges should not become a factory of generating unemployed youth, he said that the colleges should strive hard to provide employment and build the country’s future. The State  government is ready to extend all possible help to the institutions, he reiterated. The engineering colleges should not confine to only creating jobs but also intellectuals for the country. Apart from computer science, the colleges should also promote all types of courses like Civil and mechanical engineering.

As part of a skill development programme, the government has already taken up a project to upgrade the government  owned ITIs in collaboration with Tata company at the cost of Rs 2400 crore. The State Government will also launch Skill development University for youth soon, he stated

“Artificial intelligence is set to dominate the world after IT and Pharma.  The Telangana state will be developed to compete with the world. My Government will take all decisions to benefit the unemployed youth. Government will conduct examinations as per the notifications issued.  Unemployed youth fought for jobs in the last 10 years”, he stated.

Some political parties and the management of the coaching centers are staging hunger strikes for the postponement of the exams, he stated and added that the State Government will release the job calendar soon. On the lines of UPSC, the state government will issue job notifications and fill the posts every year.

The government’s policy is educational institutions should not become centers of political rehabilitation. 30,000 jobs were already filled within 30 days after coming to power in the state. Despite facing financial constraints and other problems, my government is moving forward by addressing every issue, he claimed.
