HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 14, 2024: It was a fun-filled day for students of Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, as teachers organised an entertaining Children’s Day function for them at the school, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on Thursday.
Children of the primary wing attended the school in colourful attire. Many of them came clad in Nehru’s outfits with red roses pinned onto them. The spirit of Children’s Day was in full swing at Sister Nivedita School, where teachers of Primary Wing orchestrated a vibrant celebration to bring joy and excitement to the students.
The programme began with an informative speech emphasizing the importance of Children’s Day. Following the speech, a variety of performances captured the students’ attention. The teachers showcased their talents through classical and group dance performances, displaying graceful moves and rhythm, which brought a traditional touch to the celebration. The magic show was an instant hit, with students eagerly participating and being amazed by each trick. Teachers also staged a light-hearted skit that left everyone with a smile.
Another highlight of the celebration was the speech on Guru Nanak Jayanti, which marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. This speech emphasized values such as unity, selflessness, and equality, encouraging students to carry forward the principles of compassion and humility in their own lives.
The program concluded with a closing speech and appreciation by the Principal, Dr T. Lalitha Kumari, who commended the teachers for their efforts in organizing the event and emphasized the significance of fostering a positive and supportive environment for students. The Chairman of the institute, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polasani, and Rotarian Harihara Prasad, the Correspondent of the Institution, also extended their appreciation for the success of the event, acknowledging the dedication and participation of the faculty.
The event was a heartwarming celebration, led by the dedicated teachers and supported by the administration, successfully combined fun with learning, making it a truly memorable occasion for all involved.
