HYDERABAD, JULY 06, 2025: The ‘Viswambhara, National Award, being presented every year by Suseela Narayana Reddy Trust, in honour of the legendary Poet and Jnanapeeth Awardee Dr. C. Narayana Reddy, will be conferred this year on the renowned Assamese Poet Nilim Kumar.
The Award will be presented at the 94th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Dr. C. Narayana Reddy, being held in Ravindrabharati on 29 July 2025 at 6 PM. C Ganga, the Chairperson, Dr. J. Chennaiah, General Secretary of the Trust, informed in a Press release on Sunday that Nilim Kumar will be honoured with a cash of Rs. 5.00 Lakh, a memento and a citation.
Nilim Kumar, having published 24 Volumes of Poems, was the recipient of many accolades and awards, including the much venerated Kusumagraj National Award, Udayabharati National Award and others, mentioned. Nilim Kumar’s works have been translated into many Indian and foreign languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, English, Spanish, German, and French. His Poems were incorporated into the syllabi in many Universities. The Trust Chairperson and General Secretary also informed that they have invited the Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, to be the chief guest of the function.
