
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 02, 2026: Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions, a premier educational hub in North Telangana, celebrated its Annual Day, Utsav 2026, with great enthusiasm and grandeur on 2, May 2026, at its campus in Karimnagar
The event was graced by Prof. T. Kishan Kumar Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, JNTU Hyderabad, as the Chief Guest, Prof. P. Satish Kumar, Registrar, Satavahana University, Karimnagar, and Prof. R. B. V. Subrahmanyam, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Warangal, as the Guest of Honour. Their inspiring addresses encouraged students to embrace innovation, leadership, and social responsibility while pursuing academic and professional excellence.
In his keynote address, Prof. T. Kishan Kumar Reddy emphasised the importance of holistic education. He appreciated the institution’s efforts in shaping not only engineers and professionals but also responsible future citizens. He commended Jyothishmathi’s consistent progress in academics and research and congratulated Chairman Shri Juvvadi Sagar Rao on the college securing gold medals in the recent university convocation.


The other guest of honor, Prof. P. Satish Kumar lauded the institution’s initiatives aligned with national educational priorities and its efforts to foster a research-driven learning culture. Recalling his association with the institution, he urged students to pursue lifelong learning, adopt emerging technologies, and strive to achieve their goals.
Another distinguished guest, Prof. R. B. V. Subrahmanyam, addressed the students of Jyothishmathi. In his speech, he advised students not to limit themselves only to the academic curriculum, but also to develop practical skills. Sharing his experiences, he stated that discipline, hard work, and continuous learning are the keys to success. He expressed his hope that Jyothishmathi students would set high goals and achieve excellence at a global level.
The program commenced with the presentation of the Annual Report by Dr. T. Anil Kumar, Principal, Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology & Science, who highlighted the past year’s academic achievements, placements, research outcomes, and co-curricular excellence.
The meeting was presided over by Chairman Shri J. Sagar Rao, who shared his vision for the institution’s future and reaffirmed the management’s commitment to continuously enhancing academic quality and infrastructure. He stated that Jyothishmathi is the only college in the North Telangana region to have secured nine gold medals to date. He said that in recent times, students of Jyothishmathi secured many prizes by attending various national and state level Hackathons. He added that a student, P sri chandana from IV year ECE, got a Rs.12 lakhs grant from MSME for her project on safe riding on two-wheeler.

Secretary & Correspondent Shri J. Sumith Sai conveyed his congratulations on the occasion. He added that today is not just an event—it is a celebration of talent, culture, unity, and creativity. Utsav reminds us that education is not limited to books but extends to art, culture, and real-life experiences that shape our personality and future. He said that Utsav inspires us to move forward with confidence, creativity, and a spirit of togetherness. May we continue to grow, learn, and achieve greater heights in the years to come. He extended his best wishes to all the participants.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of inter-collegiate technical and sports competitions, as well as intra-college cultural competitions, were honoured with trophies, medals, cash prizes, and certificates of appreciation.
Utsav 2026 was not just a celebration of achievements but a vibrant showcase of the talent, unity, and spirit that define the Jyothishmathi student community. The event was attended by Dean – Academics and Audit Dr. P. K. Vaishali, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students.
The celebrations concluded with colorful cultural performances by students, who showcased their artistic talents through music and dance.
