KARIMNAGAR, JULY 18, 2026: All-India Youth Federation Karimnagar district working president K Santosh Chary has demanded that the authorities concerned remove all encroachments on the footpaths and parking places around the busy Ambedkar stadium area in Karimnagar town.
In a statement here on Saturday, he said that several roadside eateries, vendors, hotels, and others had encroached on the footpaths and parking spaces taken up under the Smart City project around Ambedkar Stadium, causing serious traffic snarls and a nuisance. Besides, the location of wine shops and bars and Janata bars around the stadium is also adding additional woes to the road users, he stated.
Due to illegal encroachments by vendors and eateries at the stadium, the footpaths and parking areas were encroached upon, forcing autos, cars, and two-wheelers to park on the road, causing traffic congestion, he charged. Stating that several schools were located around Ambedkar Stadium, he said that the consumption of liquor on roads and illegal parking were causing embarrassment to the people visiting the stadium for the evening walks.
He also said that the same situation was prevailing in front of all the wine shops and bars in Karimnagar town, with the encroachment of footpaths and parking places. Demanding that the authorities remove the encroachments of footpaths and parking places, the AIYF leader threatened to launch agitations with the walkers.
