SIDDIPET, OCTOBER 15, 2024: The Government Degree College, Siddipet (autonomous) in association with Spoorthy Counselling Centre and Lions Club of Spoorthy, Siddipet, organised an extension lecture on Cognitive Distortions as part of World Mental Health Week celebrations on Tuesday.
As per the theme given by the WHO, ‘Mental Health at Work Place’, the resource person Mamidala Srinivas, MS (Counseling and, MS (Counseling and Psychotherapy) and Asst Prof of English, explained various aspects of mental health issues, causes and effects, stress at workplace and solutions to deal with them. He also threw light on the duties of Psychotherapists and Psychiatrists.
He motivated every faculty member to become a counsellor to guide the students in their hardships. J Uma Maheshwari presided over the session in the capacity of the HOD and Ayodhya Reddy, Vice Principal, Dr. Gopala Sudarshan, CoE and Satyanand, Mahender and Hari babu, the members of Lions Club, Siddipet graced the occasion.
