KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 07, 2025: Drugs Control Administration (DCA) Assistant Director Maryala Srinivasulu and Drug Inspector Karthik Bhardwaj were trapped by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) when they demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 from Vijetha hospital in Karimnagar town on Tuesday for doing an official favour.
The accused persons had collected the bribe amount through a private person, Pulluri Ramu. The ACB officials recovered the tainted amount from Ramu and found that AD Srinivasulu and Drug Inspector Karthik performed their duties dishonestly and improperly to obtain undue advantage.
The ACB officials had arrested all three accused and produced them before the court. The ACB had informed the people to dial toll-free number 1064 to lodge complaints if any government officials demand or accept a bribe.
