Organises blood donation camp as part of inauguration of NGO
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 05, 2024: AASARA (Apadalo Sahayaniki Ra) Foundation, a non-government organization was formed by Rapolu Gopikrishna, the NSS national award winner and faculty member of Vivekananda Degree and PG college in Karimnagar town, on Thursday.
On this occasion, Gopikrishna said that he had started the NGO with a motto educate the youth to serve the society and create an environment wherein there will be at least one person from a family to donate blood and save the people during emergencies. Besides, the AASARA Foundation would also participate in campaign educating the students about good eating habits, importance of health and protection of environment for the future.
On this occasion of inauguration of NGO, about 20 persons including the foundation members and former students of the college have donated the blood. The blood was handed over to the government hospital blood bank.
Former government degree college principal K Murali informed the foundation to play a crucial role in educating the present generation to serve the mankind and strive for the protection of natural resources and plantation of saplings. College principal Ch Srinivas, foundation members K Praveen Kumar, G Tirupati, M Ravi Chander, N Nikhil, P Santosh Kumar, A Siri, college officials B Sampath Kumar, Ali Khan, K Srinivas and others were also present.
