Commitment made by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka fulfilled
Singareni management issues orders
Regularisation effective from September 1 this year
HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 6, 2026: Following the assurance given by State Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Energy Sri Bhatti Vikramarka at a recent meeting with public representatives from the coal belt, Singareni management has issued orders to regularise around 1,135 workers working as Badli Workers or General Assistant Trainees as General Assistants. This is welcome news for workers who have been waiting for two to three years or more.
The regularisation will apply to workers who joined the service on or before December 31, 2025, and are working as Badli Workers or General Assistant Trainees. To be eligible, workers must have completed at least 190 working days in underground departments or 240 working days in opencast mines or outside departments in any calendar year up to and including December 31, 2025.
On the directions of the Company’s Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, the General Manager (Personnel), Industrial Relations and Personnel Management Department, has issued a circular. Management has asked Area General Managers to submit lists of eligible workers by the 23rd of this month. Eligible workers on the lists will be regularised with effect from September 1, 2026.
Earlier, workers had to wait for some time to be regularised from Transfer Worker or Transfer Filler to General Mazdoor. Since the formation of the people’s government, however, the regularisation process has been carried out periodically. Workers have expressed their happiness over the decision.
Discipline and regular attendance bring good results
Management has stated that Badli Workers and General Assistant Trainees who perform their duties with discipline and without unauthorised absence will be regularised as General Assistants. It added that regular attendance by other workers would also help improve productivity and enable them to benefit from the company’s welfare measures.
The company noted that many employees who were regularised as General Assistants later secured positions and promotions for which they were eligible through internal promotion and recruitment processes. The Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, urged all employees to recognise these opportunities, maintain regular attendance and contribute to increasing production and productivity. He said that regular attendance can lead to regularisation and promotion, while absence from duty may result in loss of employment.
State Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Energy Sri Bhatti Vikramarka congratulated the workers who are to be regularised. He said the people’s government is fulfilling the assurances made to Singareni employees and urged them to work with discipline and support the development and expansion of Singareni.
