

GERMANY, MARCH 30, 2025: Ugadi, the Telugu New Year festival, was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in Berlin of Germany, on Sunday.

The event was held at Shri Ganesh Temple in Berlin, and was a collaborative effort by the Telugu community. Telangana Association of Germany Founder-President Dr Raghu Chaliganti, along with Vice-President Venkat Ramana Boinpally, Secretary Alekya Boga, Culture Secretary Sharath Reddy, Yoganand, Srinath, Natesh, Naresh and a team of enthusiastic volunteers came together to make the event a success.
Telugu diaspora participated in the traditional recital of Ugadi Panchangam and preparation of Ugadi Pachadi, and cooked delicious Telangana-style food. A special Panchangam narration was delivered by Srinivas which added great value to the celebration.
The spirit of Ugadi transcended borders as Telugu communities from all corners of Berlin came together in a resplendent celebration, showcasing the rich tapestry of Indian culture. The event, organized by the Telangana Association of Germany (TAG), witnessed an overwhelming turnout, as individuals adorned in traditional Indian attire added a vibrant hue to the festivities. TAG‘s commitment to nurturing talent and preserving cultural heritage was evident throughout the event. Various programs were curated to unearth hidden talents and display the vivaciousness of Telugu culture, resonating with the essence of our motherland.
