TIRUMALA, JUNE 19, 2025: TTD Executive Officer J Syamala Rao, along with the Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, held a review meeting on the revamping of the Alipiri Check Point and enhancing the Security at the Conference Hall of the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati.
RAXA, the renowned company that provides Security Solutions, belonging to the GMR Group, has presented a PowerPoint presentation on its observations on how to revamp security measures and modernise the Alipiri Check Point.
After the PPT. The EO suggested that the Company provide both long-term and short-term solutions to address the issue of the security check process at Alipiri. However, the EO has directed the Vigilance Wing of TTD to implement a few measures soon to avoid delay in checking at Alipiri. Some excerpts:
* To set up some physical barriers to prevent crossovers during checking
* To replace the existing luggage scanners with more advanced, rugged scanners
* To increase the number of luggage scanners to speed up the luggage scanning process
* To check the possibility of increasing the Luggage Conveyor Belt, avoiding long hours of security checks
* To bring into utility the last two security lanes at Alipiri by posting more security personnel
The EO also asked the RAXA to come up with many other security options, keeping in view the need for the next two decades.
