
Speaking to the media on this occasion, the Chairman expressed happiness that the water reservoirs in Tirumala have reached 95% capacity, describing it as a positive development.
He stated that since Papavinasanam and Gogarbham dams are full, water is being released downstream through the gates.
He further explained that Tirumala requires 5 million gallons of water daily for the needs of devotees. Out of this, 2.5 million gallons are drawn from the Kalyani Dam in Tirupati, and 2.5 million gallons from the reservoirs in Tirumala. He added that sufficient water reserves are available to meet Tirumala’s requirements for the next 250 days.

The Chairman appreciated the Engineering Department for its continuous monitoring and efficient management of water resources.
Additionally, the Chairman mentioned that TTD has received record-level donations this year—the highest in its history. In the last 11 months, the TTD Trusts have received donations amounting to Rs. 918 crore, he added.
TTD Chief Engineer Satyanarayana, Executive Engineers Subrahmanyam, Srinivas Rao, and Sudhakar, Deputy EO of Srivari Temple Lokanatham, VGO Surendra, and other officials participated in the programme.
