TIRUMALA, AUGUST 07, 2024: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has once again appealed to its devotees not to approach middlemen for booking Darshan tickets online.

According to officials, in a recent verification, it was noticed that, abut 14,449 suspected SRIVANI transactions were carried out by 545 users. The TTD has blocked and forward a message to them. Some users have booked as many as 225 SRIVANI tickets. The TTD Vigilance has been verifying the identities of these suspects whenever they come for Darshan.

The TTD Vigilance department has been identifying pilgrims coming for Darshan with fake IDs in Darshan, Sevas and accommodation booking. Hence, the TTD appeals to the pilgrims not to approach middlemen but book Darshan tickets through online or current booking. The TTD will take criminal action on those indulging in fraudulent activities.

Pilgrims rush normal

On the other hand, the pilgrims rush to the Tirumala shrine is normal and the devotees without any tokens are taking less than six hours time for darshan. The devotees are waiting in two compartments. On Tuesday, a total of 66,235 devotees had darshan. About 26,730 devotees had tonsured their heads and the hundi collection was Rs 3.7 crore.
