TIRUPATI, DECEMBER 08, 2025: In view of the sacred Dhanurmasa, Tiruppavai discourses will be held from December 16, 2025, to January 14, 2026, at 233 centres across India by eminent scholars. These programmes are being organised under the auspices of the TTD Alwar Divya Prabandha Project.
As part of this initiative, discourses will be conducted at the following locations:
Andhra Pradesh – 76 centres
Telangana – 57 centres
Tamil Nadu – 73 centres
Karnataka – 21 centres
Puducherry – 4 centres
New Delhi – 1 centre
Odisha – 1 centre
During the Dhanurmasa period, Tiruppavai will be recited in place of Suprabhatam at the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple. In Tirupati, Tiruppavai discourses and recitations will be held at the Annamacharya Kalamandiram and the Sri Varadaraja Swamy Temple on KT Road.
Sri Godadevi, one among 12 Alwars, composed the Tiruppavai—a set of 30 pasurams—explaining the method of performing this Dhanurmasa vratham. The essence of Tiruppavai is rendering service (kainkaryam) to the Supreme Lord.
Scholars say that the vratham yields greater results when performed collectively rather than individually. In accordance with this tradition, Tiruppavai Sattumurai is conducted in all Vaishnava temples across the country during this auspicious month.
