RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, OCTOBER 05, 2024: Womenfolk belonging to the Vemulawada temple town, who are on a pilgrimage to the historic Sri Omkareshwar temple in Mandhata near Khandwa city of Madhya Pradesh state on Saturday.
Vemulawada Anuvanshika Archaka families went on a pilgrimage to the Omkareshwar temple shrine located on an island at the river Narmada. It is one of the revered 12 Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva in the country.
Vemulawada Archaka family members Upadhyayula Karuna Chandrashekhar, Upadhyayula Padma Chandramohan and the local women at the temple shrine arranged locally available flowers in a conical shape and playing Bathukamma by singing the traditional Telangana songs.
Later, the womenfolk immersed the Bathukamma in the river Narmada. The locals and tourists visiting the shrine had captured the pictures of the womenfolk playing around the conical-shaped Bathukamma and singing songs.
