
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 01, 2025: The 15th anniversary of the revered Sri Maha Shakthi temple in Chaitanyapuri colony of Karimnagar town was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety on Sunday.
Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Humpi Peetadhipathi Virupaksha Vidyaranya Swamy launched the celebrations by participating in special homans and puja rituals to the temple deities Goddess Maha Durga, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi and others. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is the founder of the Mahashakthi temple, also participated in the celebrations.

It may be recalled that the temple was inaugurated on June 17, 2010, by Sri Jagadguru Vidyaranya Bharathi Swamy. The temple was constructed by Mr Bandi Sanjay Kumar when he was a Municipal Corporator. Thanks to the patronage of the devotees, this temple shrine has emerged as a historic place for the devotees with the housing of three goddesses on the same premises.
On the other hand, the temple shrine was packed to the brim with the arrival of hordes of devotees from various parts of state to have darshan of presiding deities of the temple. The temple shrine had emerged as a favourite pilgrimage destination for the devotees.
