TIRUMALA, MARCH 22, 2025: Asserting that Sri Venkateswara Swamy is his sentiment, Andhra Pradesh state CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu advocated that prosperity and happiness remain where there is the presence of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple.
Speaking to the media at Sri Padmavathi Rest House in Tirumala on Friday, the CM of AP recalled his old memories and sentiments associated with the temple and Sri Venkateswara Swamy. “Today I made my grandson also offer Annaprasada Seva and it gives me immense satisfaction if we can teach good manners and morals to the future generations”, he observed.
“Several reforms were brought during my earlier stint, and I am committed to protecting the serenity and sanctity of Tirumala and its environs.
During the regime of late Sri NT Rama Rao the Annaprasadam Trust was formed and later followed the Pranadanam Trust. Even the Srivari Seva Voluntary Service has also commenced with a noble aim to render free services to the multitude of devotees with fellow devotees who voluntarily come forward to render Seva. Now we are contemplating taking up the construction of Srivari temples all over the country as well as overseas by setting up Sri Venkateswara Alayala Nirmana Nidhi. The funds of SRIVANI Trust will also be utilized for this noble cause properly and transparently. We have an excellent Temple Eco system in Andhra Pradesh and the ultimate goal of our government is to develop all these temples. Even it was during my earlier regime that the waters from Kalyani Dam were pumped and supplied to Tirumala. So we will ensure that there will be no dearth for water facilities in future also”, he added.
He said that any unholy activities would be prevented in the area adjacent to the Seven Hills. He said that the lands allocated for the Mumtaz Hotel, Emaar and Devlok projects near Alipiri will be cancelled. Actions will be taken to protect Srivari properties in the country”, he affirmed.
The CM once again asserted that the employees working in TTD should be Hindus only and measures will be taken accordingly to protect the sentiments. He said that the seven hills are the property of Srivaru, and hence no unholy activities should take place in Tirumala, nor should it be seen with a business attitude.
On revamping the State the CM said, already it has started from Tirumala which is yielding good results and very recently, the Srinivasa Kalyanam which was held at Amaravathi received a humongous response from the public before commencing the State Capital works with divine blessings”, he maintained. TTD Chairman BR Naidu, EO Sri Syamala Rao, Trust board members, officers and others were also present.
