RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JANUARY 19, 2026: More than one lakh offered prayers at the Sri Bheemeshwara Swamy temple affiliated to the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada on Monday.
As it is a tradition for the pilgrims to visit the Vemulawada temple shrine and offer prayers to the presiding deities before going on a pilgrimage to the biennial Samakka Sarakka jatara in Medaram of Mulugu district, the devotees had swelled at the temple shrine.
The devotees’ rush had even increased at the Baddi Pochamma temple in the temple town with the arrival of hordes of devotees. Temple EO L Rama Devi supervised the arrangements and interacted with the devotees and inquired about the facilities being provided in the queue lines.
