MEDARAM, JANUARY 22, 2026: For the convenience of devotees visiting the biennial Medaram Samakka-Saraka Jatara in Mulugu district of Telangana state, the district authorities have launched the ‘My Medaram’ (MyMedaram) WhatsApp Chatbot service, aimed at providing quick and reliable information to pilgrims.
By simply sending a ‘Hi’ message to 7658912300, devotees can access a wide range of essential services, including routes and traffic updates, parking, information on medical camps, toilets and other facilities, a complaint desk, and details of missing persons. The chatbot has been designed to be user-friendly, enabling pilgrims to receive real-time assistance without difficulty.


The initiative is part of efforts to leverage digital technology to improve crowd management and ensure the safety and comfort of lakhs of devotees who visit Medaram during the biennial tribal festival. Officials said the service would help pilgrims plan their travel better and respond promptly to emergencies or grievances. The ‘My Medaram’ WhatsApp Chatbot is expected to play a key role in ensuring a safe, smooth and hassle-free Medaram Jatara experience for all devotees.
Manda Melige celebrated as a prelude to Medaram jatara
The tribal community of Medaram celebrated the Mande Melige, which is a prelude to the four-day Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara in the Mulugu district, which would be held from January 28 to 31.
Mande Malige is observed on the second Wednesday night of the Jatara month and a week before the arrival of the deities of Sammakka and Saralamma from the forest to give darshan to devotees. Members of the Siddaboina clan purified the Sammakka Temple in Medaram and the Saralamma Temple in Kannepally by fetching the holy water from the Jampanna Vagu.
Collector Diwakar TS participate in the Mandamelighe festival, the first phase of Medaram Mahajathara, at Kannepalli Saralamma temple. He also made a surprise inspection of the queue lines and gave necessary instructions for the proper regulation of devotees in the queue lines.
