TIRUMALA, OCTOBER 09, 2024: As part of the ongoing Brahmotsavam at the temple of Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala, Lord Malayappa was adorned as Avatara Kodanda Ramudu and blessed his devotees on Hanumantha Vahanam on the sixth day of the festivities on Wednesday.
Lord Kodanda Rama carrying his bow and arrow rode Hanumantha Vahanam and travelled on the mada streets. The devotees were packed to the brim in the galleries. The cultural troupes led the procession amid chanting of Govinda.
Hanumanta vahanam is usually considered as an icon of devotional bliss. Lord Hanuman symbolically stands for pure devotion, complete surrender and absence of ego. Hanuman represents the tenets of devotion and Sharanagathi in its both physical means and intellectual form. Lord Malayappa by riding Hanumantha vahana sent a message to his devotees that he always blesses people who were humble and surrendered to him.
Later, in the evening Malayappa would travel in Golden chariot and and Gajavanaha. Pontiffs of Tirumala Pedda Jeeyar and Chinna Jeeyar Swamis, Temple EO J Syamala Rao, Additoinal EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary and others were also present.
