Let us all protect Goumata: TTD Executive Officer

TIRUPATI, AUGUST 27, 2024: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer J Syamala Rao has called upon for a revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma by protecting the Goumata as revered in Vedas and Puranas.

Participating in the Gokulashtami Gou puja festival at the TTD-run SV Gou Samrakshanashala in Tirupati on Tuesday, Mr Syamala Rao said that Gou occupied a pivotal position in Hindu Dharma where by worshipping Goumata people promote agricultural prosperity in the country. He said that the TTD also facilitated jiggery, rice and fodder for devotees to feed the Goumata at Ghoushala.

Tirupati MLA Srinivasulu said worship of Goumata is crucial for the agricultural prosperity of the country and called upon the TTD to lead the Goupuja campaign. Earlier, the EO performed puja for Goumata and Sri Venugopala Swamy. On this occasion, special Abhishekam, Venuganam, Veda pathanam, bhajans, Kolatam and Annamacharya sankeertans were performed. The cultural programmes by SPWDPG girl students and Harikatha by artists of HDPP enthralled the devotees. JEO Gautami, CVSO Sridhar, Goushala Director Dr Harnath Reddy and others were also present.
