Indira Ekadasi celebrated with religious fervour in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024: Auspicious Indira Ekadasi celebrated with religious fervour at Sri Nilayam, Mayuri Peetam, Tirumala Nagar in Karimnagar town on Saturday.

Under the supervision of priest and Jyothisya Vasthu expert Namilikonda Ramanachary Swamy, special puja rituals, homams, abhishekams, mass Vishnu sahasra namas, Hanuman chalisa and others bhajans were conducted.

The Ekadashi of Ashwin, Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the moon), is called Indira Ekadashi. On this auspicious day, Lord Sri Vishnu is worshipped. This Indira Ekadashi fast helps the devotees to get free from there all their sufferings and problems.

Being Ekadashi of Pitra Paksha, Ekadashi is best for the salvation of ancestors is considered paternalistic. So, the ancestors were liberated from this Ekadashi, and their souls in another world found peace.

According to the Puranas, Indira Ekadashi benefits the devotee even after his death. Due to its effect, all the sins of the person perishes, and by this fast, he goes to higher planets, and their ancestors get relief from all past misdeeds.

Sri Rama Seva Tharangini Trust distributed prasadams to the devotees. Priests Ramakrishnamacharyulu, Ramesh Swamy, Srinivasachary Swamy ad other pandits participated in the puja rituals.
