Heavy pilgrims rush continues at Tirumala

TIRUMALA, JUNE 16, 2024: With the series of weekend holidays till June 17, a heavy pilgrim rush is being witnessed in Tirumala from Saturday onwards. The devotees without tokens are taking 30 hours of time for darshan on Sunday.

All the compartments, Narayanagiri Sheds, outside lines up to Kalyana Vedika were filled with pilgrims. The pilgrim influx has not reduced since Thursday and is expected to continue as Monday also happens to be a holiday.

TTD has been continuously distributing Annaprasadam, water to the devotees in serpentine queue lines with the help of Srivari Sevaks.

Under the personal supervision of TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, the Senior officials are monitoring the arrangements, ensuring hassle-free distribution of Annaprasadam and water while the Vigilance and Security wing TTD is continuously managing the flow of devotees.

A total of 82,886 pilgrims had darshan on Saturday and there were 44,234 tonsores and hundi collection was Rs 4.09 crore. Among senior officers, SE2 Jagadeeshwar Reddy, EE Water Works Srihari, Chief PRO Dr Ravi, Conservator of Forests Srinivasulu, DyEO Annaprasadam Rajendra, Health Officer Dr Sridevi, AVSO Satyasai Giridhar and others have been monitoring the arrangements round the clock.
