TIRUMALA, APRIL 22, 2024: Splendour marked the procession of the Golden Chariot taken on Monday, the second day of the ongoing annual Vasanthotsavam of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala.
The processional deities of Lord Malayappa and his two consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi were mounted atop the golden chariot and pulled around the mada streets encircling the sacred shrine.
The town wore a festive look as it got soaked in religious fervour amid the chanting of the ‘Govinda namam’ by thousands of devotees who had congregated along the thoroughfares of the temple town to catch a glimpse of the procession. The deities blessed devotees along the Mada streets between 8am and 10am. TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy, DyEO Lokanatham and others were present.
