KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 02, 2024: Vaishaka Bahula Ekadasi utsavam and Varuna yagam was performed with religious fervour and traditions at Mayurapeetam Srinilayam in Tirumala nagar in Karimnagar town on Sunday.
Mayuragiri peetadhipathi and jyothishya vasthu pandit Namilikonda Ramanachary conducted the special pujas for Lord Vishnu. Abhishekhams, Archanas, homams, mass Vishnu sahasra nama parayanam, Hanuman chalisa parayanams conducted.
Later, the priest performed varuna yagam to propitiate rain god by conducting the varuna mantra japam and varuna homams. Ramanachary said that the varuna homam would help reduce the summer heats and rains would fall abundantly. Priests Ramakrishnama Charyulu, Viveka Charyulu, Ramesh Swamy and others were also present.
