Hence, on the second day of Diwali, sisters invite their brothers for lunch and serve them food that’s also called ‘Bhai Dooj’ in some places.

Special prayers to Lord Yama Dharmaraja twice a year

Devotees come to the Yama Dharmaraju temple situated on the premises of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam in Dharmapuri along the shores of river Godavari on Yama Dwitiya, which is observed on the second day of Diwali every year, and on Bharani Nakshatra, which falls in the summer season.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has conveyed his greetings on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, in a message on X.
