Cultural performances dazzle pilgrims at Srivari Brahmotsavam in Tirumala

TIRUMALA, OCTOBER 10, 2024: The seventh day of the annual Srivari Brahmotsavam witnessed a grand celebration of India’s rich cultural diversity as 405 artists from Assam, West Bengal, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and other states enthralled devotees with their performances along the  Mada streets of Tirumala on Thursday.

Even as Lord Malayappa rode the Suryaprabha vahanam, the cultural troupes presented scintillating performances depicting the traditional arts of the respective regions. Joya team from Assam state presented the Bihu dance, from Punjab Rahul Hegde team presented Guriya, B Vijaya team from Visakhapatnam presented dandiya.

Students of Sri Venkateshwara Sangeet Nritya College, Tirupati, presented Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, from Bengaluru Gauri team presented Sri Rama Vijayam, Anakapalli team presented Shimbu dance, Rajahmundry team presented Dappu vayidyam. The Kolatam teams from Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam captivated the devotees with their performances.
