KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 06, 2024: Goddess Durga Matha at Sri Mahalakshmi temple shrine was decorated with scores of colourful bangles to mark the fourth day of Navarathri, believers devote themselves to Maa Kushmanda, the fourth avatar of Durga, on Sunday.
She is adored for her bright smile, which has the power to create and maintain the cosmos. As part of the festivities, the priests decorated the presiding deity Goddess Durga with bangles on Sunday, as part of ‘Gajula alankaram’. Similarly, the precincts of Goddess Saraswathi and Goddess Mahalakshmi were decorated with sugarcane and offered special prayers.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is wearing Bhavani Deeksha mala is camping at the temple shrine and overseeing all arrangements for the scores of devotees visiting the shrine. He also offered prayers to the Goddess Durga on the occasion.
The Mahashakhti temple shrine had turned into a famous shrine because of the divine blessings of the Goddesses Durga, Mahalakshmi and Saraswathi. Several thousands of Bhavani deeksha mala devotees arrive in large numbers from morning to late evening and offer prayers at the shrine.
