HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 17, 2024: The famous Balapur Ganesh Laddu was auctioned for all-time record of Rs 30 lakhs and one thousand on Tuesday.
The organizers of Balapur Ganesh mandap conduct auction of the laddu before the start of immersion procession. Accordingly in the auction, BJP leader from Balapur Kolan Shankar Reddy won the bid. Last year, it was auctioned for Rs 27 lakhs and was bought by Dasari Dayanand Reddy.
The auctioning of Balapur laddu began in the year 1994 when it was first auctioned for Rs 450 by Kolan Mohan Reddy. Over the years because of popularity and strong belief that the auctioning of laddu would bring prosperity to the devotees, the auctioning amount had crossed Rs 30 lakhs mark in the year 2024 during the last three decades.
