JAYASHANKAR-BHUPALAPALLY, APRIL 15, 2024: In a shocking development, Superintendent of Police Kiran Khari has suspended the head constable and put the Station House Officer (SHO) under Vacancy Reserve after a Congress leader reportedly danced to a movie song at the Mahadevpur police station on Monday.
Gudala Srinivas, the Congress leader and husband of local ZPTC member, visited the police station as part of relationship with the police during the morning walk. On this occasion, he enlightened the police officials about the importance of fitness and health by doing aerobics and exercises and recorded the same while dancing to a Telugu film song on his mobile phone casually. Later, he shared the video clip on the social media, which went viral.
Irked over this, the SP suspended the head constable Soyam Srinivas, who was presented at the police station and transferred the SI Kotte Prasad to the VR (vacancy reserve) for dereliction of duties.
The Mahadevpur ZPTC member’s husband Srinivas dancing in police station went viral on social media. After the news reached the district SP, after inquiry and confirming the video was original and taken in the police station, the SP suspended the HC and transferred the SI for negligence of their duties.
