
KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 21, 2025: The Lok Satta udyama samstha and Karimnagar Consumer Council has strongly condemned the brutal killing of whistle-blower Nagavelli Rajalingamurthy, who filed a complaint alleging corruption in the construction of Medigadda barrage, in Jayashankar-Bhupalapalli district on Wednesday.


In a statement here on Friday, Lok Satta and KCC leaders R Venkateshwar Rao, Prakash Holla, Chandra Prabhakar, Kola Ramachandra Reddy, Syed Muzaffar, M Gangadhara, T Ganga Rao, A Manohar, Lakshma Reddy, Laxma Kumar, KS Narayana ad others demanded a high-level inquiry into the brutal killing of whistle-blower who fought against the corruption by the rulers and for the protection of the forests lands from the Medigadda project. They said that the government should punish the culprits whoever big they may be.
They said that Mr Murthy had filed a case at the Bhupalpally police station, seeking registration of an FIR against former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, former irrigation minister T Harish Rao and others, alleging corruption in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS).
After the police refused to register an FIR, he approached the local magistrate court, which rejected his plea. He then approached the Principal Sessions Court, Bhupalpally, which issued notices to KCR, Harish Rao and others. However, the Telangana High Court gave a stay on the case.
