
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER30, 2024: The Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police have issued a Look Out notice against an NRI, who allegedly threatened Choppadandi Legislator Medipalli Satyam to destroy his political career and demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakhs.
Karimnagar Rural ACP Venkataramana said that the Congress legislator received a threatening whatsapp call on September 28 afternoon and night with the telephone number +447886696497. The accused had demanded Rs 20 lakh or else he would ruin his political career and make his two children as orphans.

The MLA lodged a complaint with Kothapalli police station. Following the complaint, the police registered a case number 339/2024 under section 308, 351 (3) and (4) of Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita. The police traced that the accused Yasa Akhilesh Reddy (33) hailed from Bhavani Nagar of Boduppal in Ranga Reddy and presently he was staying in London, UK.
The police served look out notice against the accused through Bureau of Immigration. The police cracked the case by using cyber technology. Later, they located his financial transactions through mobile phone and located the address through passport.
