KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 18, 2025: The Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police destroyed 133.9 kilograms of cannabis (ganja) seized from various cases in the district on Wednesday.
Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam had personally inspected the destruction of the cannabis at an incinerator in Edulagattepalli village of Manakondur mandal in the presence of the Drug Disposal Committee. ACPs Venugopal and Vijay Kumar, Inspectors Pullaiah, Sanjeev, Rajanikanth and others were also present.
On this occasion, the CP said that they had intensified the drive against the drug and checking through ‘Leo’ dog squad. He said that the Karimnagar One town police have intensified their checking against the drugs under its jurisdiction by checking the shops, pan shops, hostels and other suspected places. People were informed to Dial 100 and inform the police about any suspicious activities.
