KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 09, 2025: Gaush Alam, the 2017-batch IPS officer, assumed charge as the new Karimnagar Police Commissioner on Sunday.
The former SP of Adilabad district was transferred and posted as CP of Karimnagar a few days ago. On his arrival, the outgoing CP Abhishek Mohanty had welcomed Mr Alam by presenting him with a flower bouquet. The Armed Forces presented a guard of honour to the new CP.
On this occasion, Mr Gaush Alam said that he would focus mainly on crime control. He said that he would work on maintaining law and order, road safety, and prevention of violations, focusing on urban policing, citizen-oriented policing services, and solving public safety problems. He said that technology will be widely used in policing. He said that he will always work for the welfare of the police officers and staff in the commissionerate.
