PEDDAPALLI, APRIL 16, 2024: The Task Force personnel of Ramagundam Commissionerate of Police on Tuesday raided a den on the outskirts of Chethulapur village of Mandamarri police station limits of Mancheria district and arrested five persons on charge of gambling on playing cards.
The Task Force police also seized Rs 18,940 cash and five mobile phones and four motorcycles from the spot. One person escaped from the spot and the police launched a manhunt to nab the accused person.
Acting on a tip-off, the Task force Mancherial Inspector, SI and his team raided the ‘gambling den’ and arrested five persons viz Kanukuntla Narsaiah (58), Singareni employee from Mandamarri, Samudrala Ramesh (40), Singareni employee, Mandamarri, Gangarapu Ramakrishna (45), private employees, Mandamarri, Gunjapadugu Sampath (44), a barber by profession, Mandamarri and Mamidala Shankar (63) retired Singareni employee, Mandamarri
One of the accused Lokini Prashanth from Mancherail town escaped from the spot. The police seized the motorcycles and their mobile phones. The Task Force police handed over the accused persons for further investigation to Mandamarri police station.
