Dial 100 enables police to rescue three persons of a family when their car fell into a valley from a bridge

NIRMAL, JULY 22, 2024:  In a daring rescue operation, the services of Dial 100 played a pivotal role in saving a stranded family when their car fell into a valley from a bridge and had narrow escape as the vehicle was dangling on a tree at Mahabub ghat in Nirmal district in the wee hours of Sunday.

Nirmal SP Dr Janaki Sharmila said that three members of a family were travelling from Hyderabad to Nagpur and lost control due to fog and fell into the valley from the bridge. The police received call from Dial 100 to the Nirmal police control room which alerted the DCRB inspector Gopinath, Sarangapur SI Srikanth and others rushed to the spot and identified the vehicle dangling on the tree.

Braving inclement weather, the police rescued Amanagandal Radhakrishna, his wife Venkata Durga Kalyani and son Premsai hailing from Saroornagar. The family was shifted to a hospital for treatment as they sustained minor injuries. The SP congratulated the police officials involved in the rescue operation and instant response to the Dial 100 call.

District Incharge Minister Seethakka appreciated the district police for their rescue operations and saving the lives of three persons. The Minister called the SP and congratulated the police team and inquired about the wellbeing of the injured persons.
