KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 12, 2024: The LMD police have registered a criminal case against ZPHS LMD colony junior assistant G Tirumala and her husband K Rajkumar on the charges of embezzlement of funds to the tune of Rs 10 lakhs of teachers by using fake challans from the district treasury office.

Following a complaint lodged by ZPHS LMD colony complex school head master P Rajabhanu Chandra Prakash, the police registered a case against the junior assistant and her husband, who acted as her escort, who prepared fake bills by forging the signature of the headmaster. A case was registered under IPC 420 (cheating), 409 (criminal breach of trust), 465 (forgery), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for cheating), 471 r/w 34.

Following the embezzlement of the teachers’ funds, the several teachers’ union leaders viz PRTU, STU, DTF, SGTU and others lodged a complaint against the complex school headmaster Rajabhanu holding him responsible with the DEO. The school headmaster, who is also, state gazette headmasters association leader, and others met Collector Pamela Satpathy and submitted a detailed report about the misappropriation of the teachers funds by the junior assistant and her husband and also registration of a police case.

According to sources, the headmasters’ association leaders have informed the Collector that some complex school MPPS teachers have developed personal grudge against the ZPHS LMD colony headmaster for questioning them by visiting their schools as part of inspection. During the visit of MPUPS Jogaiahpalli, the teacher Musku Tirupathi Reddy, who is also teachers’ union leader, found fault with the complex school HM for visiting the school without his information. He reportedly told that the RJD and DEO also would call him before visiting the school for inspection. When a teacher of the same school N Santosh did not attend to his duties on time, the HM had marked CL in the attendance register. This also irked Mr Tirupati Reddy.

The complex school HM informed the Collector that as mandal nodal officer it was his duty to monitor the schools and check the attendance of teachers. But, the teachers were not cooperating and opposing my inspection, he stated. Hence, they created all false allegations and alleged that I had misused the teachers funds by creating fake challans when the real culprit was junior assistant and her husband.

The School HM had submitted all the complaints lodged with DEO, DTO, SBI, Collectorate branch, confession letter of junior assistant, fake challans and other details to the Collector for a thorough inquiry and punish the guilty persons.
