BRS MLC Kavitha remanded to seven days ED custody

NEW DELHI, MARCH 16, 2024: K Kavitha, BRS MLC and daughter of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, will remain in the custody of Enforcement Directorate till March 23.

Kavitha was arrested from her residence in Banjara hill in Hyderabad on Friday evening by the ED in the Delhi liquor scam case. She was produced by the CBI special court in Rouse Avenue, New Delhi, on Saturday. Senior lawyer Vikram Choudhary argued on behalf of Kavitha while NK Matta and Zoaib Hussain represented the ED. After hearing arguments from both the sides, the Special CBI court remanded Kavitha to seven days custody for further investigation.
