
Over 200 units of blood collected at the camp
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 23, 2024: A total of 200 police officers, men and trainee constables donated blood at a camp organised as part of Police Commemoration Week celebrations at the Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police headquarters in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
Commissioner of Police Abhishek Mohanty, who participated as chief guest and inaugurated the camp, also donated the blood on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he commended the gesture of his men. He said that apart from maintenance of law and order and controlling crime, the police were also contributing to the cause of needy by donating blood every year through donation camps.
CP appreciates daily wage labourer for donating blood at camp
A daily wage labourer Kothi Srinivas (27) from Jangapalli village of Ganneruvaram mandal, came all the way from the village and participated in the blood donation camp by donating the blood. Srinivas along with his wife and son and daughter attended the camp only to donate.
After knowing about the noble gesture of a civilian, the CP summoned the entire family members to his chambers and felicitated them for the generous service to society by donating blood. Additional DCPs Laxminarayana, Ashok and Jay Kumar, ACPs Narender, Vijay Kumar and Madhavi, Reserve Inspector welfare Sridhar Reddy and others were also present.
