HANAMKONDA, JULY 25, 2024: Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau have trapped Parakala Sub-Registrar Sunitha and private document writer B Suresh for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 from a person for doing official on Thursday.
Sources said that a person Srinivas had approached the sub-registrar for the registration of gift documents in his favour. The sub-registrar demanded a bribe and he approached the ACB, who laid a trap and caught the sub-registrar for demanding and accepting the bribe red-handed along with private document writer. They were arrested and further investigation was in process.

In another incident, the ACB officials have trapped Palvancha Sub-inspector of police Banala Ramu for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a lawyer for doing official favour.
Reports reaching here said that victim Sravani had given a loan of Rs 20,000 to Ganesh Goud, who passed away. One Chava Srinivas had purchased the property when the issue was in the court and he promised Sravani to repay the loan amount. But, later he refused to give the loan amount and started harassing her. She approached the police station and lodged complaint with SI.
Her lawyer Laxma Reddy approached the SI for the filing of charge-sheet and FIR copy. But, the SI demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000. The lawyer approached the ACB, who laid a trap and arrested the SI while accepting the bribe amount at his house on Thursday.
