
SCRES demands the issuance of UMID cards as per the basic pay of employees
KAZIPET, OCTOBER 16, 2024: The South Central Railway authorities conducted a grievances redressal programme at the Railway community hall in Kazipet on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the SCR Employees Sangh Kazipet and other branch members participated in large numbers and submitted representations for the redressal of their grievances including the medical cum identity card issue and UMID (unique medical identification) card. SCRES deputy divisional secretary Chinta Murali, central executive committee member Venkat Narayana, zonal Youth executive member Paka Raj Kumar and others submitted a memorandum to the Assistant Personnel Officer.
The Sangh leaders demanded the SCR management to UMID card be upgraded as per the changes in the basic pay and allotment of the hospital accordingly. They said that the UMID card should apply to the children of railway employees till attain the age of 21 years.
Stating that more than 70 per cent of petitions were submitted with regard to UMID cards, the SCRES urged the management to resolve the issue at the earliest. They also sought the continuation of the old pension scheme instead of new pension scheme and deposited the amount to their PF accounts instead of the National Pension Scheme. Loco Running branch chairman Ravi, treasurer Sudhakar, electric loco-shed secretary Balwinder, chairman Madhava Rao, diesel local shed secretary Jagadesh, CMW secretary Abhilash and others were also present.
