
HYDERABAD, MARCH 03, 2025: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyuth Utpadan Nigam limited for the setting up of 3100 MWs of energy projects in Rajasthan State on Monday.
Among the projects which would come up in the Rajasthan state include 1500 MWs of solar power projects and 1600 MWs of thermal power projects as a joint venture by SCCL and the Rajasthan state government. The SCCL shares include 74 percent and 26 per cent from the Rajasthan government.
Accordingly, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Batti Vikramarka signed an MoU in the presence of Rajasthan Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Alok, Telangana state Energy Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Trasnsco C&MD D Krishna Bhaskar, SCCL C&MD N Balaram, Director D Satyanarayana Rao and others.
The 136-year-old Singareni had expanded its business operations in the country by signing an MoU with the Rajasthan government for the generation of the power. On this occasion, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal said that for the first time the state had signed MoU with the south Indian state’s Singareni for the generation of power to meet the growing demand.
