Lions Charitable eye hospital doctors felicitated in Karimnagar

National Doctors day celebrated

KARIMNAGAR, JULY 01, 2024: With a view to recognising noble services of doctors, Lions Club of Karimnagar Dr Bhaskar Madhekar charitable eye hospital, Rekurthi, Karimnagar town, celebrated National Doctors Day, by organising various activities for the medical fraternity on the hospital premises on Monday.

The day is celebrated throughout the country in honour of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, legendary physician and second chief minister of West Bengal. Dr BC Roy was born on July 1, 1882, and passed away on the same day in 1962.

On this occasion, DMHO Dr G Sujatha participated as chief guest and felicitated the doctors Dr Vijay Deshmukh, Dr P Swetha, Dr Swathi, Dr K Harika, Dr Maimuna Mahavish and Dr Swathi Sri and congratulated for their outstanding services at the hospital. Earlier, she inspected the hospital and visited the departments and appreciated the management for cleanliness and hygiene.

Charitable eye Hospital chairman Konda Venu Murthy called upon the people to utilise the services provided on par with corporate hospital at affordable cost for the general public and free of cost for the poorer sections. Vice chairman Chidura Suresh, secretary Prakash Holla, Trust members Dr T Muralidhar Rao, Kola Anna Reddy, ex-officio members and lions club president Mukka Sharath Kumar and secretary Sashikanth were also present.
