HYDERABAD, AUGUST 06, 2024: Officials and employees of the Commissioner of Information and Public Relations (CIPR) in Hyderabad paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar on his 88th birth anniversary on Tuesday.
Kishore Babu, ED, FDC, D Srinivas, Joint Director, Telangana Monthly magazine Chief Editor Subramanya Shastri, DDs Hashmi, Madhusudan, Raja Reddy and other officers and staff of the Commissioner’s Office paid floral tributes to Prof Jayashankar.
Speaking on the occasion, the officials paid glorious tributes to Mr Jayashankar, the man who played a vital role in the protracted struggle that led to the formation of a separate Telangana state and added that his ideals should be taken forward. They said that Prof Jayashankar was the beacon of the Telangana agitation and explained to the youth and the educated thoroughly how injustice was done to the region in employment, allocation of funds and water sharing at every stage.
