

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 03, 2025: The Telangana State Commission for SCs and STs headed by its chairman Bakki Venkataiah, members Kusram Neela Devi, Rambabu Naik, Konkati Laxminarayana, Jilla Shankar and Renikunta Praveen visited the Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) and conducted review meeting on the implementation of Rule of Reservation (ROR) on Thursday.

Mr Venkataiah, who was the former Director of Medak DCCB, said that he had visited the Karimnagar DCCB as part of exposure visit and studied its best policies. Appreciating the Karimnagar DCCB for its innovative, good governance and diversification of business activities, the SC\ST Commission chairman said that the Karimnagar DCCB is a role model cooperative bank in the country. He also congratulated the DCCB for earning profits of Rs 119.31 crore during the financial year 2024-25 and NPA of 0.54 per cent.
He recollected that the Karimnagar DCCB loaning, recovery and customer services were laudable. Mr Venkataiah, who was formerly Mididdoddi PACS chairman and Director of Medak DCCB, fondly recollected his visit to Karimnagar on an exposure and following the best practices. Later, he conducted a review meeting on the implementation of Rule of Reservation (ROR) in the recruitment and promotions of the staff in the DCCB.
Earlier, the commission conducted a meeting with the district authorities in the Collectorate in Karimnagar town. On this occasion, the commission instructed the officials to redress the pending SC\ST Atrocity cases. Informing the officials to observe Civil rights day to create awareness about the rights of SC and STs, he warned of serious action if there are any instance of diversion of SC sub-plan funds. The commission members also participated in the 98th birth anniversary of Dodda Komuraiah on the Collectorate premises by paying floral tributes to his portrait. Collector Pamela Satpathy, Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam, and other officials were also present.
Later in the evening, they proceeded to Vemulawada for night halt and early morning darshan on Friday. After darshan, they would proceed to Rajanna-Sircilla district Collectorate to conduct a review meeting. On Friday afternoon, the commission would visit Jagtial Collectorate and JNTU for a review meeting on ROR. Later, they would proceed to Kondagattu temple shrine for darshan and return back to Hyderabad.
