KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 27, 2025: The Karimnagar DCCB is proud to celebrate its general body meeting as part of the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives (IYC) 2025, said Mr Konduru Ravinder Rao, Chairman KDCCB and NAFSCOB.
Presiding over the 104th general body meeting of KDCCB at its main office in Karimnagar town on Monday, Mr Rao said that the United Nations had declared IYC-2025 in this 21st century also because there is lot of scope for its development and strengthening further. He said that more than 40 crore families in the country are associated with cooperatives.
Hence, the Union Minister government created Ministry for Cooperation and is headed by Amit Shah, he said and added that the Union government had introduced model bye laws for PACS which were accepted unconditionally by all states including the non-BJP ruled states also in the country. He said that Father of Indian Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar had also referred to the cooperatives in the constitution as cooperative federal.
Recollecting his two decades of association with the Karimnagar DCCB as its chairman and Gambhiraopet PACS president, Mr Ravinder Rao said that “I spent my best part of life in the cooperatives which would be memorable one for me forever’. We can do wonders through PACS unlike other elected representative, he pointed out.
He also said that no political parties had opposed to his reforms in the KDCCB and transforming it as the number one cooperative bank. He also thanked the cooperation extended by PACS chairman in his mission. He said that he was proud to be associated with KDCCB which had completed 100 years, as ICBA Director which also completed 100 years celebrations recently in Belgium and as NAFSCOB chairman had also participated in its 60 years celebrations.
With regard board of directors meeting, the KDCCB chairman said that the board had instructed the bank to workout modalities for providing insurance coverage for the farmers who take crop loans. He also informed the PACS chairpersons to complete all the pending works as their term would end on February 14, 2025. Vice chairman P Ramesh, DCMS chairman A Srikanth Reddy, CEO, N Satyanarayana Rao, Directors and others were also present.
