WARANGAL, NOVEMBER 04, 2026: Kakatiya University organised a condolence meeting on Wednesday afternoon at the Administrative Building premises to mourn the demise of former Vice-Chancellor and retired Professor of the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prof. C. K. Kokate, who passed away on the night of November 2, 2026.
In the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy, In-charge Registrar Prof. Rajender Katla read out the condolence resolution. The gathering recalled and paid tribute to Prof. Kokate’s valuable academic and administrative contributions as Vice-Chancellor and his significant role in the development of the University. The participants observed two minutes of silence to pay their respects to the departed academician.
Subsequently, as a mark of respect for former Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. K. Kokate, Kakatiya University declared Wednesday, November 4, 2026, a holiday.
Teaching and non-teaching staff, research scholars, students and retired employees of the University participated in the condolence meeting and paid their respects.
