After offering prayers to Goddess Gauri, the students and teachers prepared the Bathukammas by arranging different varieties of flowers in a conical shape. On the occasion, students were told about the importance of celebrating Bathukamma. They were also told about the significance of various traditional flowers such as Thangedu, Gunugu, Marigold, Chrysanthemum, Lotus etc and their medicinal values.
The atmosphere was electric with girl students and teachers clad in traditional attires and jewellery, singing and dancing around the beautiful floral formations of Goddess Gouri in her praise with religious fervour and unmatched enthusiasm.
