
WARANGAL, OCTOBER 06, 2026: As part of efforts to promote greenery, biodiversity and environmental conservation, 1,000 saplings belonging to 10 different varieties were planted at the KU College of Engineering & Technology campus with CSR support from Genpact, under the aegis of United Way of Hyderabad (UWH) on Tuesday. The saplings will be maintained and protected by UWH and Genpact for the next three years.
KU Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy, Vice-Principal V. Mahender, Development Officer Prof. Venkayya, Prof. Vasudeva Reddy, Avenue Plantation In-charge Venkata Gopinath, faculty members, UWH Programme Manager Mr. Mahender, Mr. Deepak, Genpact representative Mr. Radhakrishna Patel, college faculty member Aseem Iqbal, and around 100 volunteers participated in the plantation drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. K. Pratap Reddy appreciated the efforts of the partner organisations and stated that collaborative initiatives involving corporates, educational institutions and voluntary organisations can make a significant contribution to environmental conservation and help create a cleaner and greener environment for future generations.
KU Distance Education PG Third Semester Examination Postponed
The PG Third Semester examination scheduled to be conducted on October 9 by the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Kakatiya University, has been postponed, University Controller of Examinations Acharya Rajendar Katla said in a statement.
The postponed examination will now be held on October 10, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
He clarified that there is no change in the examination schedule of the remaining papers, examination timings or examination centres. Students are advised to take note of the revised date and attend the examination accordingly.
